Meeting between President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Abu Dhabi crown prince ‘very productive,’ Mevlut Cavusoglu says.

Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will visit Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), next month, he announced on Wednesday.

The announcement came amid the acceleration of bilateral relations between Abu Dhabi and Ankara as the UAE's Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in the Turkish capital on Wednesday for the first official visit to Turkey since 2012.

Speaking to reporters during a signing ceremony at the presidential complex, Cavusoglu said that the meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Abu Dhabi crown prince was "very productive."

Earlier, the crown prince was welcomed by Turkey's Trade Minister Mehmet Mus and other officials at Ankara Esenboga airport, and Erdogan held an official welcome ceremony at the presidential complex.
