Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin will discuss bilateral relations and international issues.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday arrived in Russia's coastal city of Sochi for a day-long working visit to have talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

According to the Turkish Presidency, Erdogan and Putin will discuss regional and international issues, as well as Türkiye-Russia relations.

The leaders will hold a one-on-one meeting, and chair the talks between delegations.

Matters such as Syria crisis and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, which is now in its sixth month, are expected to be addressed, while Türkiye's diplomatic efforts to unblock Ukraine grain exports will also be on the agenda.

The leaders will evaluate bilateral ties, mainly focusing on economy, trade and energy.

The meeting between Erdogan and Putin will be the second in-person interaction in over two weeks. They last met in Tehran in July during Astana format talks on Syria. -
