Turkish Stocks Down 0.30% At Open

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index slips over 340 points from previous close.

Turkey's benchmark stock index started Friday at 115,450.93 points, with a fall of 0.30% or 342.66 points.

At Thursday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was down 2.46% at 115,793.59 points, with a daily trading volume of 28.4 billion Turkish liras ($4.1 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 6.8660 as of 9: 30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) Friday, unchanged from the previous close.

The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 7.7350 from 7.7760, while one British pound traded for 8.6610 Turkish liras, down from 8.7300 at Thursday's close.

One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $41.74 as of 10 a.m. local time on Friday. -
