Turkish Stocks End Week Up

BIST 100 index rises over 375 points from Thursday's close.

Turkey's benchmark stock index ended the week up 0.37% to close at 103,024.34 points.

Starting the day at 102,453.67 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index rose 375.41 points from 102,648.93 points at Thursday's close.

On the last trading day of the week, the BIST 100 hovered between 102,013.76 points and 103,306.72 points – 40 stocks on the index rose, 13 fell, and the remaining were flat compared to the previous close.

Closing the day with a market value of nearly 740 billion Turkish liras ($109 billion), the benchmark index posted a daily trading volume of 10 billion Turkish liras ($1.5 billion).

The price of Brent oil was $34.43 per barrel as of 6 p.m. local time (1500GMT) on Friday.
