Türkiye Intends To Boost Trade With Tanzania: Trade Minister

Two countries sign 6 agreements in various sectors during Tanzanian president's visit to Ankara.

Türkiye aims to enhance bilateral trade with Tanzania, Trade Minister Omer Bolat said Thursday.

Bolat shared a social media post on Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan and her delegation's visit to Türkiye.

He expressed Türkiye's commitment to bolstering trade relations with Tanzania during discussions with Tanzanian Minister of Industry and Trade Ashatu Kijaji and Shariff A. Shariff, executive director of the Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority, in Ankara.

He highlighted Tanzania's significance as one of the most populous countries in Africa and said they have discussed trade and investment cooperation for the future with his Tanzanian counterpart.

"We will continually advance the cultural and economic partnership between our nations," he added.

During the Tanzanian president's visit to Türkiye, six agreements were signed between the two countries.

They cover various sectors including investments, higher education, archives and scholarships. -
