Turkiye's Industrial Output Jumps 9.6% In March

All sub indices up on an annual basis, largest rise recorded in manufacturing, official data shows.

Turkiye's calendar-adjusted industrial production jumped 9.6% in March compared to a year ago, the country's statistical authority reported on Friday.

All sub-indices were up in the month, with manufacturing posting the largest annual rise of 10.6%, according to TurkStat data.

The mining and quarrying index increased by 2.9%, while the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index climbed 1.9%.

On a monthly basis, industrial output fell 1.8% from February.

"When the subsectors of the industry were examined, while mining and quarrying index decreased by 4.9% and manufacturing index decreased by 2.2%, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply index increased by 4.8% in March 2022, compared with the previous month," TurkStat said.​​​​​​​ -
