Security measures have been increased within the scope of 'Operation Turquoise', launched ahead of the 36th NATO Leaders' Summit to be held in Ankara on July 7-8. During the operations involving 46 teams and 396 personnel, 58 individuals wanted for terrorism, narcotics, security, and public order crimes were detained. All suspects were arrested by the court and sent to prison.
Ankara Police Department continues its security measures under "Operation Turquoise" launched ahead of the 36th NATO Leaders Summit to be held on July 7-8. During the operations organized before the summit, 58 individuals wanted for various crimes were captured and arrested.
SECURITY MEASURES INCREASED BEFORE THE NATO SUMMIT
Numerous police teams were assigned to designated task areas for the summit, while high-level security measures were taken in red zones operating on a 24-hour basis.
In this context, a comprehensive effort was conducted targeting individuals involved in active crime, with the participation of all units under the coordination of the Ankara Police Department.
46 TEAMS AND 396 PERSONNEL ON DUTY
46 teams and 396 personnel participated in the operations. During the operations, 58 individuals identified as wanted for terror, narcotics, security, and public order crimes were detained.
58 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
After the completion of their procedures at the police department, the 58 suspects were referred to court, where they were arrested and sent to prison.
