Additionally, it was determined that the perpetrator met with the school counseling service 32 times.
The veil of secrecy behind the armed school attack carried out by perpetrator Isa Aras Mersinli in Kahramanmaraş was lifted in the commission of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM). Kahramanmaraş Governor Mükerrem Ünlüer and Provincial Police Director Hasan Yiğit, with the information they provided to the commission, revealed minute by minute how the incident unfolded and the profile of the attacker in all its starkness.
MINUTE BY MINUTE ATTACK MOMENT
According to the report in Hürriyet; Governor Mükerrem Ünlüer, who took the floor in the commission, shared the timeline of the action based on data obtained from MOBESE recordings. According to the information provided by Governor Ünlüer, the start and end process of the attack developed as follows:

Governor Ünlüer stated that after the radio announcement, a total of 128 units and 502 personnel from 22 branches were dispatched to the area.
THE ATTACKER WAS STOPPED NOT BY A PARENT, BUT BY TWO TEACHERS
Addressing the public claims that the attacker was stopped by a parent coming from outside, Governor Ünlüer expressed the truth with these words:
"When our parent arrived, there were already two teachers on top of the child who was about to be neutralized, trying to subdue him. So, our parent coming from outside did not do this. One is a teacher from the school, the other is a teacher from the neighboring school..."
"IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT HE WAS TRAINED"
Provincial Police Director Hasan Yiğit provided chilling details to the commission about the weapons used by the attacker and his professional movements during the action. Stating that the attack began by targeting two girls coming from the corridor, Yiğit conveyed the following information:
"He brought a total of eight magazines. He used six of them, with two full magazines remaining. He fires at our two children there, shoots with the weapon aiming at the target, and when the bayonet lags behind, he changes the pistol. He uses a total of five pistols. It is understood that he was trained; he does everything very rapidly."
HE HAD 32 MEETINGS WITH THE GUIDANCE SERVICE
Sharing striking findings about the past of the attacker Isa Aras Mersinli, Governor Ünlüer emphasized that the student had high academic success and no disciplinary record. However, drawing attention to the psychological background, Ünlüer noted:
"The individual had 32 meetings with the school guidance service on various issues during certain periods. The issue in the child actually starts from the 2nd grade and is noticed. When looking at his writings, there are correspondences suggesting he had set his mind to do these things at a very young age. So, it cannot be considered a normal case."
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
In the attack carried out by an eighth-grade student attending Ayser Çalık Middle School in the Onikişubat district of Kahramanmaraş, one teacher and nine students lost their lives. It was determined that Mersinli, who carried out the attack, used his father's weapons.
