At the graduation ceremony of the Army Academy held on August 30, an investigation was completed regarding the new graduates' oath with swords after they shouted the slogan "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal" following the departure of the protocol from the ceremony area.

ERDOĞAN HAD REACTED

After the images caused a significant stir on social media, President Erdoğan made a statement regarding the issue, saying, "Recently, some abusers emerged during the graduation ceremony and drew their swords. Who are you drawing these swords at? All necessary investigations are being conducted regarding this, and those few ignorant individuals there will also be cleaned up."

NOTIFICATION WAS MADE

Regarding the investigation into the sword oath ceremony, CHP Deputy Chairman Yankı Bağcıoğlu reported that a notification was made for the referral of Lieutenant Ebru Eroğlu and Lieutenant İzzet Talip Akarsu to the High Disciplinary Board "for the purpose of imposing a separation penalty from the TSK."

The students, led by the top student Ebru Eroğlu, swore in unison with the following words: "We swear that hands reaching for the independence of the secular, democratic Republic of Turkey, the indivisible integrity of the country, the honor and dignity of the great Turkish nation, and every inch of our sacred homeland will find us, and our swords will always be sharp and ready. We are the children of the Turkish future. We were born with honor, and we will live with honor. How happy is the one who says I am a Turk!"

These images were also shared on social media accounts and subsequently became a topic in the political agenda. After the sword clashing ceremony of the lieutenants, there were strong reactions from the ruling side, and an investigation was conducted against the lieutenants.
