Two suspects have been arrested in the investigation regarding the reconnaissance and action plan targeting the office of Süleyman Soylu, the Chairman of the Interior Affairs Commission of the Turkish Grand National Assembly and AK Party Istanbul Deputy, located in Beyoğlu.
The Chairman of the Interior Affairs Commission of the Turkish Grand National Assembly and AK Party Istanbul Deputy Süleyman Soylu's office in Beyoğlu was subjected to reconnaissance and action work, resulting in the arrest of 2 suspects.
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that Adalet Karataştan (28), who has 4 criminal records and is active within the DHKP-C armed terrorist organization, conducted reconnaissance and action work against the office of AK Party Istanbul Deputy Süleyman Soylu in Beyoğlu.
THEY CONDUCTED RECONNAISSANCE ON SÜLEYMAN SOYLU'S OFFICE
In the camera recordings examined around the mentioned office, it was determined that Karataştan arrived by municipal bus on July 15, sat in the park across from the office, left the park 10 minutes later, boarded another bus, got off two stops later, entered a business place, and left from there on a motorcycle.
In the statement given to the police by motorcycle owner Ayhan Y, it was learned that he said he did not know a person named Adalet Karataştan, that the person came to his workplace introducing himself as 'Handan', and after drinking tea, he said he was ill and wanted to go to Perpa, upon which he dropped the person off at the desired location with his motorcycle. He panicked when he wanted to carry the person's bag and took the bag, feeling its weight when he touched it.
THEY WERE CAUGHT IN GAZIOSMANPAŞA
Additionally, it was determined that in the effective remorse statements taken from the suspects in previous periods, there were declarations indicating that they were responsible for the youth organization of the DHKP-C armed terrorist organization, Dev-Genç.
In their operations, the police teams caught the suspect along with Mahir Doğan (30), who has 6 criminal records from the DHKP-C armed terrorist organization, on July 16 in Gaziosmanpaşa.
During the searches conducted on the suspects, a laptop, 2 SD cards, and a magazine named Halk Okulu, which is the organization's publication, were seized.
No criminal elements were detected during the examination of the seized digital materials.
After their procedures at the police station, the suspects were taken to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan, where they were referred to the court with a request for arrest by the prosecutor's office.

It was learned that Adalet Karataştan and Mahir Doğan, who exercised their right to remain silent, were arrested by the court to which they were brought.
