Minister Yerlikaya announced that two terrorists affiliated with the PKK/KCK separatist terrorist organization, who are listed in the gray category, were captured as a result of intelligence operations conducted by the Edirne Provincial Gendarmerie Command in coordination with the Gendarmerie General Command Intelligence Department and the Anti-Terrorism Department. As part of the operation, terrorists Bülent Taşer (code-named Serhabun Malazgirt) and Leyla Hüşeng (code-named Sarya Baran) were captured in the "GÜRZ-45" operation carried out in the Meriç district of Edirne province.

PERPETRATOR OF THE ROCKET ATTACK

It was determined that terrorist Bülent Taşer had been active in the rural areas of Bitlis-Sehi, Batman-Sason, and Kozluk in 2008, and was one of the perpetrators of the remote-controlled IED incident that occurred on May 13, 2012, in the Çalıdüzü village region of Bitlis-Central. He also participated in the roadblock, vehicle burning, and kidnapping actions in the Yukarıdölek village area of Bitlis/Central on May 18, 2012, and carried out a rocket attack on the Rahva Traffic Control Bureau in the Tatvan-Bitlis area on June 23, 2012.
