Former MP Ufuk Uras reported that during his meeting with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, the MHP leader told him, "The proposal for a solution initiative came from Erdoğan."

Former MP Ufuk Uras met with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli yesterday. In a post on his social media account regarding the meeting, Uras stated, "We exchanged views on the perspective he has recently put forward. I thank him for his interest and conversation."

Regarding the details of the meeting, Uras made statements to Candan Yıldız from T24.

THE OFFER CAME FROM ERDOĞAN

Uras, who expressed an important detail that would dispel the rumors of tension between Erdoğan and Bahçeli, reported that the MHP leader told him, "The proposal for a solution came from Erdoğan."

In his statements, Uras said, "Mr. Bahçeli conveyed that Erdoğan approached him at the beginning of last month with the proposal, 'Let's solve this issue on our own, without involving others in these problems.' Mr. Bahçeli then responded, 'Well, who will do this? I went to the group (DEM), shook hands, and expressed my condolences. I made that statement so that Öcalan could express his opinion on these matters without any prompting.'"
