The leader of the Victory Party, Ümit Özdağ, and MHP member İzzet Ulvi Yönter exchanged barbs on social media. In response to Yönter's statement, "Assad has fallen, your hopes have been dashed," Özdağ reminded him of the Sinan Ateş murder, saying, "History will judge me. The heavy penal court will judge you."
The leader of the Victory Party and former MHP member Ümit Özdağ clashed with MHP Deputy Chairman İzzet Ulvi Yönter over their social media accounts.
"YOU ARE AN AGENT, YOU ARE A COLLABORATOR"
Ümit Özdağ, quoting Yönter's post that included the words, "While you were serving in the MHP, you didn't make a sound. Who are you serving? You are not even the last person who can speak against our Chairman. You are an agent, you are a collaborator. The decree of a Bozkurt cannot be overturned by the edict of jackals," reminded Yönter of the Sinan Ateş murder. Özdağ responded to Yönter, saying, "Get out of here, Hüdaverdi-looking İzzet, first account for the late Sinan Ateş to his mother, wife, and children before you speak. Justice in this government may be delayed, but in the end, justice will be served in this world and the next."

In response to Özdağ's post, Yönter used the following expressions: "Mr. Ümit, history will give the verdict regarding you, don't worry, your politics of slander and exploitation has failed, you are in a panic. The days when your face will turn bright red due to your voluntary participation in the fifth column activities against our leader and party are not far away. Esad has fallen, your hopes have been in vain, your calculations have been disrupted, and that is your problem and trouble. Go to another door."
