Video message from President Erdogan to the UN Summit: I am saying it openly, none of us can feel safe.

President Erdogan, in his video message sent to the United Nations Summit, said, "In order to build a secure and prosperous future, we need peace first." Erdogan also reiterated his call to the United Nations and the international community for the massacre carried out by Israel in Gaza. Erdogan stated, "In a world where children are dying under bombs, I openly say that none of us can feel safe."

"Global Call for the Future Summit of the UN" President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who sent a video message to the online event, greeted the heads of state and government and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

Erdogan, who stated that there are only a few days left for the summit, which aims to strengthen international solidarity against threats that affect the future of humanity and to open the way for the construction of a peaceful, secure, and fair system, stated that he sees the summit as a rare opportunity window opened in the midst of conflicts, oppression, hunger, and poverty that ravage the world.

Erdogan, who called on all his counterparts participating in the summit to evaluate this opportunity offered to them by UN Secretary-General Guterres properly, stated the following:

"NONE OF US ARE SAFE IN A WORLD WHERE CHILDREN ARE BOMBED"

"In order to build a secure and prosperous future, we first need peace. Challenges such as terrorism, Islamophobia, irregular migration, and climate change increase the severity of the geopolitical shocks experienced. We see the most bitter example of this in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially Gaza, for 11 months. We are faced with a picture where 17,000 children and more than 41,000 people have lost their lives, more than 100,000 people have been injured, and almost all of Gaza has been destroyed. It is necessary for the voice of the international community, especially the UN, to be louder against Israel's occupation policies. In a world where children die under bombs, I openly say that none of us can feel safe. Turkey will continue to stand against oppression and stand by the oppressed, and we will not step back from this humanitarian stance."

"WE MUST PROTECT OUR DEMOCRACIES AGAINST RACISM AND FAR-RIGHT MOVEMENTS"

President Erdogan emphasized that not only countries that have achieved a certain level of prosperity but also societies that continue their development efforts should ensure a global governance architecture that represents fairness.

Erdogan stated that in order to achieve a better future, they need to transition to an order that focuses on green transformation, supports climate-resistant and sustainable development, and leaves no one behind, and made the following evaluations:

"We must protect our democracies against all kinds of hate speech, racism, and far-right movements that poison our societies. What we need to achieve all these goals is to reshape the multilateral system based on justice and fairness, taking the motto that the world is bigger than five to the center. I invite world leaders to join hands in the summit of the future in line with these goals. With these feelings and thoughts, I extend my respect and greetings to all of you."
