Vincenzo Montella's future with the national team has become clear.

02.11.2024 11:30

The Vice President of the Turkish Football Federation and National Teams Coordinator, Ceyhun Kazancı, spoke about the future of head coach Vincenzo Montella. Kazancı stated that he is pleased with the performance of the national team in the Nations League and expressed that Montella will remain in Turkey until the end of the 2026 World Cup.

The Vice President of the Turkish Football Federation and the Responsible for National Teams, Ceyhun Kazancı, made statements regarding Vincenzo Montella's future.

Kazancı responded to the question, "How do you find the performance of the National Team after 4 matches in the Nations League?" by saying, "The team's performance was very good except for the away match against Wales. Now it all comes down to the Wales match. If we win the match in Kayseri, we will not only be promoted to League A but also secure a playoff ticket for the World Cup Qualifiers, which is of greater importance to us. Hopefully, we want to beat Wales and go to Montenegro as a preparation match."

"MONTELLA WILL STAY WITH US"

Montella said, "If an offer comes from Roma, I would be in a very difficult situation." In response to the question, "What would happen if such an offer comes?" Kazancı stated, "He is a coach who is one of Roma's legends, which is quite natural. We have a contract until the end of the 2026 World Cup. He is very happy here and 100% focused. There is nothing more natural than successful coaches being associated with some big clubs. He will be with us at least until the end of the World Cup."
