During a class at an elementary school in Samsun, a parent stormed into the classroom and physically and verbally assaulted the teacher. Some of the students who witnessed the terrifying moments were seen crying in fear. The teacher, who filed a complaint against the parent, requested a transfer on the grounds of not feeling safe. It was learned that the aggressive parent has a record of various offenses.
A teacher working at an elementary school in the İlkadım district of Samsun was verbally and physically attacked by a parent who entered the classroom during the lesson. An investigation was launched following the incident that occurred in front of the students.
CLASSROOM INVADED DURING LESSON
The incident took place on the morning of April 6, Monday, at İlkadım Mustafa Kemal Elementary School. S.Y.Ş., a class teacher with 20 years of experience, was attacked when the parent, Kardelen K., entered the classroom while the lesson was in progress. The parent insulted and threatened the teacher and then attempted a physical attack. Other teachers at the school intervened to prevent the situation from escalating.
REQUEST TO "CHANGE MY CHILD'S CLASS"
According to allegations, the incident began when a student was absent and did not want to go to school. Blaming the teacher for the child's situation, the parent demanded that the child's class be changed, creating a scene. The parent stormed into the classroom while the children were in class and approached the teacher aggressively.
STUDENTS EXPERIENCED MOMENTS OF FEAR
Third-grade students who witnessed the attack experienced great panic. Moments when some students cried out of fear were captured on camera. After the incident, teachers tried to calm the students down.
FILED A COMPLAINT, INVESTIGATION INITIATED
According to a report by Onur Durmuş from Birgün; after the attack, teacher S.Y.Ş. went to the police station to file a complaint. Action was taken against the suspect parent. It was learned that the parent had various criminal records previously.
TEACHER REQUESTED A TRANSFER
It was stated that the teacher, who was psychologically affected by the incident, took a 5-day leave and requested a reassignment or transfer to another school due to concerns for their safety.
