Werder Bremen has left platform X.

19.11.2024 09:10

Werder Bremen announced that it is leaving the X platform owned by Elon Musk. The club made this decision due to Musk's allowance of the rapid spread of hate speech under the guise of 'freedom of expression' and stated that it will now share its posts on the BlueSky application.

The German Bundesliga team Werder Bremen announced that it has left the platform due to the policies of Elon Musk, the owner of X.

In a statement from the club, Werder Bremen, which announced that it will continue to share on the BlueSky application from now on, stated that it left the platform because Elon Musk, the owner of X, "allowed the incredible spread of hate speech, hatred towards minorities, far-right posts, and conspiracy theories under the guise of freedom of expression."

Werder Bremen had 539,000 followers on X. Additionally, the St. Pauli club also announced that it had left the X platform for similar reasons.
