Artificial intelligence was used in a crime this time. It was revealed that candidates who failed the driving license exam in Tokat renewed their identities as "lost" and tricked the officials at the civil registry office by merging the identity owner's face with that of a stand-in candidate using artificial intelligence. Fourteen suspects identified as having allowed someone else to take the exam in their place were arrested.

The teams of the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department of the Tokat Provincial Police Department acted upon receiving a tip-off.

In the operation coordinated by the Tokat Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined that some individuals who could not pass the written driving license exam renewed their identity cards on the grounds of "loss," and during this process, they deceived the officials of the population office by merging the face of the real identity owner with the face of the "joker candidate" using artificial intelligence, allowing others to take the exam in their place.

Within the scope of the investigation conducted based in Tokat, connections were also identified in the Niksar district of Tokat province and Şanlıurfa. As a result of the examination of exam documents from the last 4 years, it was determined that there were 12 joker candidates in Tokat and Şanlıurfa, as well as 5 organizers.

In the simultaneous operations carried out by the teams, 17 suspects who were detained were referred to the Tokat Courthouse after their procedures at the police station. Of the suspects, 14 were arrested and sent to prison by the court they were brought before; 2 suspects were placed under judicial control, and 1 suspect was released after giving their statement. It was learned that the investigation regarding the incident is ongoing.
