WhatsApp will launch a new feature that will convert voice messages into text, taking user complaints into account.

The instant messaging application WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature.

Taking user complaints into account, WhatsApp will now allow voice messages to be easily transcribed into text.

With the update, it has been announced that it will be gradually made available worldwide in the coming weeks with a limited number of language options. Initially, it is stated that English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Russian will be available, while it is also mentioned that the number of languages will increase in the future.

WILL BE CREATED PRIVATELY

When a voice message is transcribed, the transcripts will be created privately on the user's device. This means that, thanks to end-to-end encryption, no one, including WhatsApp itself, will be able to see this content.

HOW WILL IT BE USED?

To use the feature, it will be necessary to go to Settings > Chats > Voice Message Transcripts menu to enable the new feature. After these steps are completed, it was stated that the transcripts could be easily accessed and the transcript language could also be selected. To use the feature, it was mentioned that by long-pressing a voice message and tapping the "Convert to Text" button, the transcript of the voice message could be viewed.
