In Bursa, an individual shot his rival while riding a motorcycle and firing bullets at his workplace. The person stated that he was angry and carried out the act because he had received threatening messages from the father of his religiously married wife. He has been arrested.
Muhammet Faruk Arifoğlu (29), who works as a bodywork master in Bursa, instilled terror in his rival on January 22. Arifoğlu, along with his friend Ramazan Aslan, arrived in front of the booth operated by his rival Soner Y. on a motorcycle.
OPENED FIRE
Arifoğlu fired a gun at Soner Y. from the moving motorcycle, injuring him. After the incident, which was captured by the security camera of the workplace, Soner Y. was taken to the hospital, while the fleeing assailant and his friend were caught and taken into custody.
"I FIRED RANDOMLY WITH MY GUN"
Muhammet Faruk Arifoğlu, who was interrogated at the Police Department, accepted the charges against him. He stated that he was extremely drunk on the night of the incident and said in his statement, "Last year, I started living together with S.P. after getting married by religious ceremony. S's family, who were disturbed by our relationship, did not talk to me. On the night of the incident, I was sitting after drinking alcohol. My friend Soner Y. had sent threatening messages to S's father from my social media account, saying, 'I will kill you and your siblings, kidnap your children, and burn your house.' I got angry. I called my friend Ramazan and said let's go out together. I went to Ramazan with the motorcycle I bought from the scrap market a while ago. Since I was drunk, he was riding the motorcycle while I was sitting behind him. I directed Ramazan to the front of Soner's workplace. When I saw Soner in front of the liquor store, I fired randomly with my gun. Then I left the scene. After burning the motorcycle on the road, we went to our homes. The next day, I was caught by the police. Ramazan had no idea about the incident," he said.
"I HAVE A GRUDGE BASED ON THE PAST"
Soner Y., in his statement, said, "A scooter-type motorcycle passed in front of my workplace. There were 2 people on this motorcycle. The person wearing a helmet sitting at the back of the motorcycle shot at me. I had a grudge against these individuals based on the past."
TWO ASSAILANTS ARRESTED
While Soner Y., who is undergoing treatment in the hospital, did not accept the charges directed at him, it was learned that Ramazan Aslan stated he was unaware of his friend's planned armed attack and was angry with him after the incident. The two suspects, who were referred to the courthouse, were arrested by the court they were brought before.
