In the operation carried out by the teams, M.Y., M.B., E.B., and C.B., who were illegally excavating at the Başhöyük Tumulus, which is a 1st Degree Archaeological Site, were caught red-handed by the gendarmerie teams.
A LARGE NUMBER OF MATERIALS SEIZED
Together with the suspects, approximately 25 meters long excavation area yielded 1 inverter, 3 batteries, 15 meters of cable, 1 hammer drill, 6 drill bits, 2 gas masks, a pulley system, etc., and 57 various items were placed under protection.
