While walking on the road, the young person trapped under the ice mass lost their life.

Arif Talat Algın (22), a student of the Faculty of Arts at Atatürk University, was seriously injured when a block of ice that fell from a roof hit him while he was walking on the street in Erzurum. He passed away at the hospital where he was taken.

BLOCK OF ICE FELL ON HIS HEAD

The incident occurred around 03:00 in the Lalapaşa neighborhood of the Yakutiye district. A block of ice that fell from the roof of an apartment building hit Arif Talat Algın, a third-year student of English Language and Literature at Atatürk University, on the head while he was walking on the sidewalk. Those who saw Algın fall to the ground in a pool of blood reported the incident to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Algın was taken to Atatürk University Research Hospital by the ambulance that arrived at the scene, but he passed away despite the doctors' intervention.

A CEREMONY WILL BE HELD AT HIS SCHOOL

It has been learned that a ceremony will be held for the deceased Algın tomorrow at the Faculty of Arts. After the ceremony in the faculty garden, Algın's body will be sent to Bursa.
