ANSWER TO THE CONGRESS AND CANDIDACY QUESTION
The Fenerbahçe President responded to a question about whether he would run for congress, stating, "I will not speak about elections and candidacy again until May. We are focused on the next 9 weeks."
'FAMILY AND FENERBAHÇE FIRST'
Continuing his remarks, Sadettin Saran said, "Right now, I am only focused on the team. Neither my workplace nor anything else. First my family and Fenerbahçe. This is my only thought."
In a statement he made on FB TV on Wednesday evening, Sadettin Saran had said:
"I made the decision about the congress solely because I considered the interests of Fenerbahçe. I am against extraordinary general assemblies. I was also against the congress where I was elected. It harms the club. However, I made this decision to prevent the ongoing legal process regarding myself from becoming a topic around the club. When there are elections in May and June, then it will be discussed. There are those from the community and associations saying 'do not hold a congress.' But there is no point in discussing these. The final decision on this matter will be made by our community. I also ran for candidacy, but when did I run? I ran after the election date was determined. I did not hire people on social media to attack anyone. I did not engage in untimely association activities. Those who do these are trying to create an election atmosphere. The community will not forget those who forget that there is currently a Fenerbahçe President in office."
