Women crime machines caught in million-dollar theft

Three women identified as a crime machine who stole cash, checks, and jewelry worth millions of lira from homes in Istanbul were caught in a taxi they were fleeing in during a police operation. While jewelry worth approximately 1 million lira was seized from the suspects, it was learned that one of the women had 238 criminal records and 24 arrest warrants.

Following the theft of cash, checks, and jewelry worth millions of lira from homes in Küçükçekmece, Bakırköy, and Beylikdüzü, an investigation was launched by the Public Order Branch Directorate Burglary Bureau teams.

CAUGHT IN A TAXI

As a result of field and technical surveillance conducted by the teams regarding the incidents, the identities of the suspects were determined. Ela C., identified as having committed a burglary at a residence in Küçükçekmece, along with Ceylan Ç. and Gülseren Ç., who were found to have stolen jewelry and cash worth millions of lira in Beylikdüzü and Bakırköy, were apprehended on Wednesday, July 1, following their last theft, while fleeing in a commercial taxi on the Avcılar-Haramidere connection road during an operation.

A FORTUNE FOUND ON THE SUSPECTS

During searches of the suspects, the stolen cash and numerous jewelry items worth approximately 1 million TL were seized and taken into custody to be returned to their owners.

It was learned that suspect E.C. has 47 criminal records, C.Ç. has 238 crimes, 24 arrest warrants, a final prison sentence of 10 years and 9 months, and G.Ç. has 40 crimes, 18 arrest warrants, and a 9-year 2-month prison sentence. The detained suspects were referred to the courthouse after the completion of police procedures. Meanwhile, the moments when the women entered and exited the buildings were captured on camera.
