250 workers employed at a textile company in Yozgat learned that the factory they worked at was closed and they were unemployed when they went to work. The Ritimteks company, based in Istanbul İkitelli, which has been operating in the Yozgat Organized Industrial Zone since 2014, suddenly halted its operations for an undisclosed reason. When the 250 workers went to the factory to start their shifts, they were unable to enter. Unable to find an authorized person for an explanation, the workers also could not reach any responsible person when they called the company's headquarters in Istanbul. According to the workers' claims, a person from the company's human resources department contacted them and said that the company's operations had stopped and that they could not reach the bosses. THEY GATHERED IN FRONT OF THE FACTORYUpon learning that they were unemployed at the factory they went to for work, the workers, as soon as they recovered from the shock of the incident, gathered in front of the factory and requested that an official come. While gendarmerie teams took precautions in the area, no official arrived. "COMPANIES COME AND FLEE OVERNIGHT"The factory workers, stating that they were victimized, said, "Is this Yozgat's suffering? Similar companies constantly come and flee overnight in the same way. We, the workers, are always victimized. Who will stand up for us, who will help us in obtaining our rights? We want them to help us. We cannot find anyone to address our grievances. We all have children, some have debts, some have sick family members. We have been victimized, we are asking for help," they said.
