After a 4.6 magnitude earthquake occurred at night in Nurdağı district of Gaziantep, a striking assessment came from Prof. Dr. Naci Görür. Noting that the earthquake occurred at the plate boundary and edges, Görür pointed to the impact of the February 6 earthquakes and said, "I fear the plate interiors will break apart."
The earthquake of magnitude 4.6 that occurred in the Nurdağı district of Gaziantep during the night hours caused brief panic in the region. According to AFAD data, the depth of the tremor was measured at 7.01 kilometers.
Following the earthquake, Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi stated that no negative situation had been encountered based on initial assessments.

After the earthquake, earth scientist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür shared his assessments regarding the region where the tremor occurred on his social media account.
Görür stated that the earthquake took place around Kuzoluk-Nurdağı in Gaziantep, between the Amanos Fault Line and the Dead Sea Fault Zone segments.
