The Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, announced that they will provide a loan of 6.25 billion lira to entrepreneurs under the age of 35, in collaboration with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, against a guarantee of 5 billion lira.



The Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, stated that young entrepreneurs will be supported through credit opportunities in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).



Minister Şimşek evaluated the New Support Package for Young Entrepreneurs prepared in cooperation with the EBRD. He pointed out that efforts to support entrepreneurs continue within the framework of the economic program, and he reported that they are effectively using the Treasury-backed guarantee system to increase young entrepreneurs' access to financing under favorable conditions.



THOSE UNDER 35 WILL BENEFIT



In this context, Şimşek announced that the Ministry will provide guarantee support within the credit source to be provided to banks by the EBRD, stating, "With the cooperation made with the EBRD, our young entrepreneurs will be supported with a credit opportunity of 6.25 billion lira against a guarantee of 5 billion lira through the Credit Guarantee Fund. This support aims to enable young people to access the necessary resources, consultancy, and training opportunities to establish and grow successful businesses."



85 MILLION LIRA PER PERSON



Şimşek reported that the upper limit of the guarantee per beneficiary under the support package will be 85 million lira, and the guarantee rate will be applied at 80 percent, stating, "Companies with owners and/or managers under 35 years of age who meet certain conditions will be able to benefit from the support package."
