Mehmet Altınöz, Deputy Chairman of the New Welfare Party, who was a guest on the Haberler.com program, emphasized that the attacks on Iran also pose a threat to Turkey. Altınöz stated, "It is only a matter of time before we enter the war; the missiles fired at Iran are being aimed at Turkey. Turkey should call upon all Muslim countries and make a call for jihad to prevent the Israeli attacks."
Evaluating the recent developments on the Israel-Iran line, Mehmet Altınöz, Deputy Chairman of the New Welfare Party, answered the questions of the host Melis Yaşar during a live broadcast on Haberler.com. Altınöz argued that Turkey should now take the lead in the Islamic world, stating that the time has come to show a clear stance.
"WHAT IS DONE TO IRAN WILL BE DONE TO US TOMORROW, WE NEED TO DECLARE JIHAD" Altınöz emphasized that silence should not be maintained against Israeli attacks on Iran, using the following statements: "We are the leaders of the Islamic world. As Turkey, we are at the forefront of these countries, but I am addressing the leaders of the ruling party right now. They should please use the power that history has given them. While using this power, we are by their side. If President Erdoğan were to make a statement saying, 'If the D-8s are gathered and a single bullet is fired from now on, it means it has been fired at these 8 countries,' for example, if he were to gather the Islamic world, bringing together 60 Muslim countries, not just the D-8 but also gathering other Muslim countries, we need to declare jihad. I am not saying Turkey should enter the Iran-Israel war, but Turkey should assert its role. What is done to Iran tomorrow will also be done to us. The missiles fired at Iran are being fired at Turkey. If Israel is attacking Iran today, it will attack us tomorrow as well. Look, we do not want this, but it is already clear that this will happen. What will Israel do after Iran? Will it stop? No. We must stand by Iran today."
"ENTERING THE WAR IS A MATTER OF TIME" Emphasizing the possibility of Turkey entering the war at any moment, Altınöz stated, "The Kürecik and Incirlik bases should be closed. Incirlik is an American base, one of the largest outside of America. This also needs to be closed. For example, Mr. Erdoğan needs to ask the US, 'Why are you supporting Israel, which attacks my neighbor so recklessly?' We need to do these things. Look, we have done these things. If we do not do them, if we remain silent, we cannot act as if nothing has happened. It is a matter of time for us to enter the war. Turkey needs to take the lead in this, and we need to call all Muslim countries to fulfill our jihad duty to prevent Israel's attack on Turkey. But today.
