A person who fell from the second floor of an abandoned building under construction, where he went with his friends in Adana, into a water accumulation about 2 meters deep that formed in the basement after heavy rainfall, drowned and lost his life.
While entering an abandoned building in the Huzurevleri neighborhood of the Çukurova district of Adana with his friend, Muhammet Yusuf Kalkan lost his balance on the second floor and fell into the basement, where approximately 2 meters of water had accumulated after heavy rainfall.
DIED
His friends, who saw Kalkan fall, reported the situation to the police. Upon the notification, police, medical, and underwater group teams were dispatched to the scene. Underwater police recovered the lifeless body of the individual from the water accumulation in the basement.
THE CAUSE OF DEATH WILL BE DETERMINED IN AUTOPSY
After the work of the crime scene investigation teams, the individual's body was sent to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for the determination of the exact cause of death. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
