In a statement from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) of Nigeria, it was noted that heavy rains have led to floods in 25 states of the country this year. The statement recorded that 228 people have died in the flood disasters, 495 people have been injured, and 114 people are missing.
209 THOUSAND PEOPLE AFFECTED BY FLOODS
The statement emphasized that 71,400 people have been displaced due to the floods, and it was reported that 209,666 people have been affected by the floods. The statement indicated that 21,257 houses have been damaged or destroyed due to the flood disasters, and it was expressed that 23,481 plots of land in 76 regions have been harmed by the floods.
