The United Public Workers' Confederation began a march towards the Presidency to convey their demands regarding the collective bargaining process, due to the lack of response to their appointment requests. While police teams did not allow the confederation members to proceed with their march, the General President, Orhan Yıldırım, stated that the decision-maker is the President and said, "He will either leave us hungry or give instructions to the Ministry of Finance."

The Confederation of Public Workers' Unions (Birleşik Kamu-İş) planned a march from the confederation's headquarters to the Presidency to convey its demands regarding the 8th Term Public Collective Bargaining process, but the police did not grant permission. General President Orhan Yıldırım stated that the decision-maker regarding the salaries of civil servants is President Erdoğan, saying, "He will either leave civil servants and retired civil servants and their families hungry or give new instructions to the Ministry of Finance for the transfer of a budget that allows them to live with dignity."

PRESIDENT YILDIRIM HAD GIVEN A SIGNAL

Orhan Yıldırım, the General President of the Confederation of Public Workers' Unions, requested an appointment from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan after the 8th Term Public Collective Bargaining process was left to the arbitration board. He announced that if there was no response to the appointment, they would march from the confederation's headquarters to the Presidency.

THEY GATHERED IN FRONT OF THE HEADQUARTERS

After no response was given to the requested appointment from the Presidency, a large number of confederation members gathered in front of the confederation's headquarters located on Ziya Gökalp Street.

After negotiations with the police, the confederation members were not allowed to march. The confederation members continue to wait for their request to walk to the Presidency.

"EITHER HE WILL LEAVE THEM HUNGRY OR GIVE INSTRUCTIONS"

After his dialogue with the police, Yıldırım stated in a press release that the decision-maker regarding the salaries of civil servants is President Erdoğan, saying, "He will either leave civil servants and retired civil servants and their families hungry or give new instructions to the Ministry of Finance for the transfer of a budget that allows them to live with dignity."
