Due to Israel's attacks and blockade, the loss of life resulting from hunger and malnutrition in the Gaza Strip is increasing, and the United Nations has declared a famine in the region. The UN, which has officially declared famine only four times since its establishment, has made such a decision in the Middle East for the first time.

The Gaza Strip, under a tight siege that restricts humanitarian aid and is experiencing a humanitarian disaster where hunger is spreading, and water, medicine, medical supplies, and hygiene products are unavailable. Deaths due to hunger are increasing, especially among children.

ISRAEL'S WEAPON: HUNGER AND THIRST

Israel is using "hunger and thirst as a weapon" in the region. The Israeli army, which has destroyed 88% of Gaza's civil infrastructure, frequently targets Palestinians who have been displaced by evacuation orders in the areas where they seek refuge. It is reported that the number of displaced people in Gaza, with a population of approximately 2.3 million, has reached 2 million, with many individuals being displaced multiple times.

Displaced Palestinians, lacking basic supplies, are trying to survive in makeshift tents or in overcrowded schools where hygiene products are lacking, and even lavatories are insufficient, leading to the spread of infectious diseases. The Israeli army bombards the tents of the displaced and the civilian areas where they are sheltered with daily attacks.
