The Confederation of Public Servants' Unions (Memur-Sen) announced that no application was made to the Arbitration Board regarding the 8th Term Collective Bargaining negotiations, which ended in disagreement.

The Confederation of Public Servants' Unions (Memur-Sen) made a noteworthy statement regarding the 8th Term Collective Bargaining, which ended in disagreement.

The 8th Term Collective Bargaining process, which concerns approximately 4 million public servants and 2.5 million retired public servants, is ongoing. As a result of the negotiation process that ended with a partial agreement, an agreement was reached in 11 service branches, while no consensus was achieved on the wage proposal regarding general provisions.

IT WAS EXPECTED TO GO TO THE ARBITRATION BOARD

In this context, it was necessary for the authorized confederation, Memur-Sen, or the Public Employers' Committee to apply to the Public Servants Arbitration Board during the day in accordance with Law No. 4688.

STATEMENT FROM THE PUBLIC SERVANTS' UNION: WE DID NOT APPLY

In a statement made by Memur-Sen, it was stated that Memur-Sen would not apply to the arbitration board, saying, "'The principle of 'justice in income and balance in wages' that we have pursued, the effort to rebuild the disrupted labor peace, and the effort to raise the income level of public servants and retirees have resulted in disagreement due to the public employer's insistence on being unyielding. As Memur-Sen, we have decided not to take the signed meeting minutes regarding the 8th Term Collective Bargaining negotiations, which ended in disagreement, to the Arbitration Board and did not apply to the Arbitrator."

WILL BE TAKEN TO THE TBMM BUDGET DISCUSSIONS

According to the law, the Public Employers' Committee also has the right to apply to the Arbitration Board during the day, apart from the authorized confederation. If the Public Employers' Committee also does not apply, the decision will be taken to the TBMM budget discussions, and the decision made there will determine when it comes into effect.
