The headless female corpse found in a trash container in Şişli, Istanbul, made headlines across the country. It was determined that the lifeless body belonged to Durdona Khokimova, a citizen of Uzbekistan, while security camera footage emerged showing two suspects carrying a suitcase and leaving it in the trash container, with one of them being caught while trying to flee abroad.
In Şişli, a headless female corpse was found inside a trash container. As the police completed their investigation at the scene, it was determined that the woman was Durdona Khokimova (37), a citizen of Uzbekistan. While the woman's head and severed legs were not found in the container, a suitcase located on another street was examined.
In the subsequent investigations, the police, who reviewed hundreds of security cameras, captured the suspects D.A.U.T. (31) and G.A.K. (29), who were trying to flee to Georgia from Istanbul Airport. It was learned that in D.A.U.T.'s statement at the police station, he claimed to have had a romantic relationship with Durdona Khokimova and that he committed the murder following a dispute between them. Meanwhile, security camera footage showing the suspects carrying the suitcase and leaving it in the trash container emerged.
At around 8:00 PM on Kuyulubağ Street in the Duatepe neighborhood, a body wrapped in a sheet was found in a trash container. The police, who arrived at the scene upon notification, initiated an investigation. During the examination, it was determined that the body was headless and belonged to a woman.
NOTICED WHILE COLLECTING PAPER
O.Ç., who was collecting paper in the neighborhood, noticed the body wrapped in a sheet in the container in front of No: 25 Kuyulubağ Street. O.Ç. went to the police station to report the situation and returned to the scene with the teams. Following this, teams from the Homicide Bureau and the Crime Scene Investigation Department took precautions in the area and began a detailed investigation. The teams conducted evidence searches in and around the container.
SUITCASE CARRIED BY THE SUSPECTS FOUND AND EXAMINED
During the police investigations, while the woman's head and severed legs could not be reached, an investigation was initiated regarding the suspects who were reported to have been seen at the scene based on information from eyewitnesses. Additionally, the suitcase seen in the hands of these suspects around the container was found and examined on Bozkurt Street in the same neighborhood.
IDENTITY CONFIRMED
Meanwhile, as a result of the fingerprint inquiry taken from the corpse, it was determined that the woman was Durdona Khokimova, a citizen of Uzbekistan. As the police completed their investigation at the scene, the body was taken to the morgue of the Forensic Medicine Institution. The investigation regarding the incident is ongoing.
THEY WERE CAPTURED AT THE AIRPORT
Following the incident, teams from the Homicide Bureau initiated efforts to capture the suspects. In the operations conducted in coordination with the Intelligence Department, it was learned that the murder was committed by D.A.U.T., a citizen of Uzbekistan who was in a relationship with Durdona Khokimova, and that G.A.K. assisted him. After reviewing hundreds of security camera footage, it was determined that the two suspects went to Istanbul Airport to flee to Georgia. The suspects were detained before they could escape abroad after 8 hours of work.
SECURITY CAMERA FOOTAGE EMERGED
Additionally, security camera footage showing the moments when the suspects carried the body in a suitcase has emerged. The footage shows the two suspects passing through a passage while carrying the suitcase down the street and throwing something into the trash container in a bag.
