WHAT HAPPENED?
A written statement from the Egyptian Presidency announced that an international summit called the "Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit" will be held tomorrow, co-chaired by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and US President Donald Trump, with the participation of leaders from more than 20 countries.
According to the program announced by the White House, Trump will first fly to Israel, meet with Israeli prisoner families, and after his speech in the Israeli Parliament Knesset, he will proceed to the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit. Trump is expected to return to the US on Tuesday.
CEASEFIRE AND PRISONER EXCHANGE AGREEMENT IN GAZA
US President Trump announced on October 9 that Israel and Hamas approved the first phase of the ceasefire plan in Gaza during ongoing negotiations in Egypt.
