The Directorate of Communications announced that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will attend the "Sharm El-Sheikh Summit for Peace," which will be held regarding the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and U.S. President Donald Trump.
President Erdoğan will attend the "Sharm El-Sheikh Summit for Peace," which will be held tomorrow in Egypt regarding the ceasefire in Gaza.
Hot developments continue to unfold following the agreement between Hamas and Israel on the ceasefire plan for Gaza announced by U.S. President Donald Trump.
Following the ceasefire agreement, it was announced that the "Sharm El-Sheikh Summit for Peace" will convene in Egypt regarding the ceasefire in Gaza; a statement also came from the Presidency of Communications.
PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN IS ON HIS WAY
Burhanettin Duran, the President of Communications, announced on his social media account that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will attend the "Sharm El-Sheikh Summit for Peace," which will convene regarding the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, upon the invitation of Egyptian President Abdulfattah el-Sisi and U.S. President Donald Trump.
HE WILL MEET WITH COUNTRY LEADERS
Duran also stated, "Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will visit Sharm El-Sheikh on October 13, 2025, to participate in the 'Sharm El-Sheikh Summit for Peace,' which will convene regarding the ceasefire agreement reached in Gaza, in response to the invitation of Egyptian President Abdulfattah el-Sisi and U.S. President Donald Trump." He added, "It is planned for our President to address the Summit and also to hold consultations with the leaders of the participating countries."
A LARGE NUMBER OF LEADERS WILL ATTEND
On the other hand, a statement from the Egyptian Presidency indicated that more than 20 leaders, including U.S. President Donald Trump, will attend the summit.
TRUMP HAD MADE A STATEMENT
Donald Trump announced that after reaching an agreement on the first phase of the ceasefire in Gaza, he would visit Israel on Monday and then Egypt.
U.S. media reported that Trump plans to turn his visit to Egypt into a leaders' summit to discuss the Gaza Peace Plan, with the expectation that leaders from 11 countries will attend the summit. Trump stated regarding the matter, "Many leaders will also be there during my visit to the Middle East."
