Promising data from Istanbul's dams

After the recent rains in Istanbul, the average water level in the dams has risen to 30.25%. The highest level was observed in the Elmalı Dam, while the lowest rate was recorded in the Kazandere Dam.

In recent weeks, the effective rainfall has provided some relief to the levels in the dams supplying drinking water to Istanbul.

FILLING RATE INCREASED TO 30%

According to the data shared by the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (ISKI), the average filling rate, which fell below 20% in November and December, has risen to 30.25%.

HIGHEST FILLING RATE AT ELMALI DAM

On January 12, the average water level in the dams was measured at 22.01%, while current data revealed that this rate has increased by approximately 8 points. The highest filling rate in the city was recorded at Elmalı Dam with 84.93%. The lowest level was measured at Kazandere Dam with 7.13%.

As of February 2, the filling rates of the dams in Istanbul are as follows:

  • Darlık – %49.19
  • Ömerli – %44.28
  • Alibey – %24.63
  • Büyükçekmece – %21.16
  • Terkos – %18.24
  • Sazlıdere – %17.78
  • Pabuçdere – %9.23
  • Kazandere – %7.13
