'A WEEK FILLED WITH FESTIVITIES WILL PASS IN THE CITY' Responding to questions about the Fenerbahçe match, the young coach said, "You need to learn a lesson from every match you play. I am a coach who analyzes the matches we played in the first half extensively. Because even if the coaches change, the game templates change, ninety percent of the players remain the same. It was a match where we started well. In fact, there was a beautiful struggle and a good match until the 70th minute. Now, of course, it will be different. We will play against one of Turkey's strongest teams in front of our own fans. I always look at it this way; after 16-17 years, we returned to the league, and I see these weeks as a festive week for teams like us. I think it will be a week filled with festivities. People are very excited. Everyone is looking forward to this match. Such big matches are also very important for the players. They prepare themselves differently. For me, not much changes. How can we show our strengths against the opponent? What are their weaknesses? This is how I work. I will work in the same way; nothing will change. But playing against a big team is something that all players and the city will want. If we play correctly, if we fight at least as much as Fenerbahçe does, which requires even more in this match, hopefully, we will achieve a victory," he said.
'OF COURSE, TALENT CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE' Regarding whether the rising expectations after the Galatasaray victory would create pressure, İnan stated, "We are working to avoid creating pressure; we talk to our players. We are fighting here against very big and important clubs, but ultimately all teams are the same for me. You must fight on the field. Of course, playing against Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş, and Trabzon is not easy. Because they have very important players. Even if you sometimes keep all your players in tactical discipline correctly on the field, talent can make a difference. And Fenerbahçe has plenty of that talent. We will put our struggle on the field. If you fight with all your being in such matches, if you put everything you have on the line, you are already winning in some way. The fans see this. If the result comes along with it, that would be wonderful. I would be very happy. But my priority is a good game and a good struggle with our fans. After that, we will see what happens together," he said.
'WE WILL TAKE THE FIELD TO WIN' Regarding whether Fenerbahçe's potential fatigue from their European match would provide them an advantage, Selçuk İnan said, "Fenerbahçe has won all their previous matches. There are many very important players in big teams. Their fatigue can certainly be seen as an advantage. It depends on the perspective. But regardless of which team it is, we will take the field to win in front of our own fans. Our primary goal is, of course, that. The closest example in such matches was the Trabzonspor match.
