The Global Sumud Fleet, created to deliver humanitarian aid to Palestine and aimed at overcoming Israel's naval blockade, became a target of Israeli attacks again last night.

"BECAME A TARGET OF BOMBS IN THE WATERS OF GREECE"

Yesterday, the Global Sumud Fleet was attacked by drones with sound bombs by Israel. Yasemin Acar, a human rights activist and one of the organizers of the Fleet, made the first statement regarding the attack. In her statement on social media, Acar said, "I am speaking to you from the ship named Alma, which was attacked in Tunisia. International waters have been turned into a battlefield. We became a target of bombs in the waters of Greece. Let’s clarify this, we are a humanitarian organization carrying humanitarian aid. We will continue until Palestine is free. We are moving forward, we will not turn back."

In a statement made by the Fleet today, it was noted, "Good morning after being targeted by numerous drone attacks. Our motivation is still unbroken. Gaza is still our route, our compass is humanity."

THE MOMENT OF THE ATTACK WAS CAPTURED ON CAMERA

While posts regarding the moment of the attack were shared on social media, it was seen that some boats targeted by drones faced serious danger. Mustafa Çakmakçı, the Deputy Chairman responsible for Youth and Sports Policies of the Future Party, who was on one of the ships in the Fleet, stated in a video he shared, "They just launched chemicals with a drone from close range. The attacks are continuing. There is a chemical smell."

THEY HAD EXPRESSED THEIR CONCERNS

On the other hand, the Global Sumud Fleet, which started their journey from Barcelona on August 31, reached Tunisia on September 7; they were attacked by drones on September 8 and 9. Recently, they had announced that a large number of drones were following the fleet and expressed their concerns.
