VERY CLEAR TERROR MESSAGE
In the statement starting with 7 items, a clear message regarding terrorism was given; it was stated that "it was reminded that the PKK/KCK-PYD/YPG would not be allowed to exploit the current situation and possible developments in Syria in any way; it was emphasized that all terrorist organizations that are enemies of our friendly and brotherly peoples in the region would be eliminated in any case."
The published statement is as follows:
"1. The National Security Policy Document (NSPD), which is regularly updated every five years and urgently when necessary; has been renewed by evaluating the developments occurring and likely to occur in Turkey, the region, and the world, and has been deemed appropriate by the council.
It has been decided to repeal NSPD-2020 and to put NSPD-2025 into effect.
2. Political, military, economic, and social developments that occurred in 2024 and are important for our national security have been evaluated; the issues that may be faced in 2025 and the activities and measures to be carried out in this context have been discussed.
3. Information has been provided to the council regarding operations conducted with determination, decisiveness, and success against all kinds of threats and dangers to our national unity and integrity, especially the terrorist organizations PKK/KCK-PYD/YPG, FETÖ, and ISIS, as well as recent international developments.
4. It has been reaffirmed that full support will be given to the new Syrian administration's will to ensure the sovereignty, unitary structure, territorial integrity, and political unity of the state, as well as to guarantee the fundamental rights and freedoms of all ethnic, religious, and sectarian groups in the country, and to the reconstruction of Syria and the peace and prosperity of the Syrian people.
5. It was reminded that the PKK/KCK-PYD/YPG would not be allowed to exploit the current situation and possible developments in Syria in any way; it was emphasized that all terrorist organizations that are enemies of our friendly and brotherly peoples in the region would be eliminated in any case.
6. It was emphasized that the ceasefire achieved in Gaza should be permanent and should serve as a starting point for a just resolution of the Palestinian issue; attention was drawn to the importance of delivering humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza without obstacles, uninterrupted, and swiftly.
Furthermore, it was stated that Israel's aggressive actions, which disregard international law, have posed an obstacle to efforts to ensure stability in the region by extending to Syrian territory.
7. It was stated that Turkey would continue to intensify its efforts to resolve conflicts in various regions of the world, especially in Africa, the Middle East, and the Balkans, before they turn into armed conflicts, and to contribute maximally to the establishment of global peace and stability."
