In the investigation carried out on the claim that treasury lands in the Kemer district of Antalya were transferred to certain individuals through unlawful methods, simultaneous operations were conducted in 5 provinces. In the investigation, where 80 immovables with a current market value of approximately 10 billion liras were examined, 27 suspects, including National Real Estate personnel, a land registry director, and current and former mukhtars, were detained.

A major simultaneous operation was conducted across 5 provinces against a network that illegally transferred Treasury-owned lands to certain individuals in the Kemer district of Antalya, causing billions of liras in losses to the public. Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that the current market value of the 80 properties examined within the scope of the operation is approximately 10 billion TL.

10 BILLION LIRA WORTH OF TREASURY LAND UNDER INVESTIGATION

The large-scale investigation led by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has exposed a major rent-seeking scheme built around Treasury properties in the Kemer district. According to the allegations, although the eligibility, actual use, and sales conditions stipulated in the legislation were not met, these lands were transferred to certain individuals and circles through illegal methods.

Within the scope of the investigation, it was determined that the current economic size of the 80 Treasury properties under scrutiny is approximately 10 billion TL.

BUREAUCRATS AND MUKHTARS ALSO DETAINED

Simultaneous operations were carried out at a total of 21 separate addresses in Adana, Burdur, Isparta, and Nevşehir, based in Antalya, targeting the structure that provided unjust economic benefits and harmed the public. A total of 27 suspects were detained in the raids, which also focused on the Kemer, Kepez, and Konyaaltı districts of Antalya. Notable names among those detained include:

  • National Real Estate personnel
  • Land Registry Director
  • Current and former neighborhood mukhtars
  • Civilian citizens who acted as intermediaries in the system

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek, who informed the public about the operation, stated that the investigation is continuing in multiple directions to reveal who ultimately benefited from the economic value obtained. Minister Gürlek gave a message of determination, using the following statements:

"State property is the common right of our nation. Whoever uses public office for personal gain, obtains unjust profits through Treasury properties, or acts as an intermediary in this, will be held accountable before the law. We will not allow those who turn public property into a realm of personal gain."
