A 4.6 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Doğanşehir district of Malatya. The tremor was felt in surrounding provinces as well. In a statement following the earthquake, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said, "All teams from AFAD and our relevant institutions have immediately begun field assessments."

According to the data from the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority, a 4.6 magnitude earthquake occurred with its epicenter in the Doğanşehir district of Malatya.

The tremor, which occurred at 20:20, was at a depth of 9.75 kilometers.

The Kandilli Observatory reported the earthquake's magnitude as 4.5 and its depth as 5.4 kilometers.

In a statement following the earthquake, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said, "All teams of AFAD and our relevant institutions have immediately started field surveys."

Minister Yerlikaya stated on his social media account: "All teams of AFAD and our relevant institutions have immediately started field surveys regarding the 4.6 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Malatya Doğanşehir and was felt in surrounding provinces. According to initial assessments, there are no negative situations. Reports received are being evaluated. I extend my best wishes to our citizens affected by the earthquake. May God protect our country and nation from disasters."
