A 4 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Bayat district of Çorum at 10:20 AM. According to the information on the website of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), a tremor of 4 magnitude was recorded with its epicenter in the Bayat district. It was determined that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 11.01 kilometers. The earthquake was also felt in the Oğuzlar, Dodurga, and İskilip districts of Çorum, as well as in the Tosya district of Kastamonu.
ÇORUM GOVERNOR: NO NEGATIVE SITUATION ENCOUNTERED
Çorum Governor Ali Çalgan stated to AA correspondent that the earthquake did not cause any negative consequences.
Stating that the relevant institutions have started fieldwork after the earthquake, Çalgan said, "Our gendarmerie units have contacted our village heads, and it has been determined that no negative situation has occurred so far due to the earthquake. We have not received any reports or calls for help to our emergency call centers or relevant institutions. We wish all our citizens well. May God protect our nation from such disasters."
