A 6.1 magnitude earthquake occurred in Sındırgı, Balıkesir. The earthquake was felt in other provinces as well, including Istanbul, Manisa, Izmir, and Aydın. Following the 6.1 quake, another earthquake of magnitude 4.2 was experienced. On August 10, a 6.1 magnitude earthquake also struck Sındırgı, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to 29 others.

6.1 MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKE IN SINDIRGI
The district of Sındırgı in Balıkesir was once again violently shaken after August 10. An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 occurred at 22:48. AFAD stated that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 5.99 kilometers.
FELT IN MANY PROVINCES
The earthquake was felt not only in Sındırgı but also in provinces such as İzmir, Aydın, Bursa, Balıkesir, and Manisa. Due to the violent tremor, citizens experienced panic.

On August 10, at 19:53, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 occurred, centered in the district of Sındırgı in Balıkesir. The earthquake, which was felt in surrounding provinces, caused great panic.
One person lost their life, and 29 others were injured in the earthquake. Many buildings were destroyed; it was determined that 675 were residential, 70 were workplaces, 86 were barns and warehouses, and a total of 831 independent units in Sındırgı were severely damaged or collapsed.
