A 7.8 magnitude earthquake occurred off the coast of Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula. A tsunami warning was issued following the severe earthquake. It is still unknown whether there have been any casualties or property damage.
A 7.8 magnitude earthquake was recorded off the coast of Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula.
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the earthquake occurred 145 kilometers east of the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The U.S. National Weather Service's Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii issued a tsunami warning following the earthquake.
It is not yet known whether there has been any loss of life or property damage in the earthquake.
