The military wing of Hamas, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, made a strong statement regarding Israel's operation to invade Gaza. In its statement, Hamas challenged Israel, saying, "We have prepared an army of fighters, thousands of ambushes, and bombs for you. Gaza will be a grave for your soldiers."

The military wing of Hamas, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, stated that while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has decided to kill the hostages as part of his plan to invade the city of Gaza, they do not care about the lives of the hostages.

On the third day of the ground operation launched to completely occupy Gaza, Israel also attacked Lebanon; a critical statement came from Hamas.

HAMAS ISSUED A CHALLENGE

In a written statement from the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas's military wing, evaluations were made regarding the intensified ground and air attacks as part of the plan to invade the city of Gaza and the fate of the hostages.

The statement included the following remarks: "Your hostages are scattered throughout the neighborhoods of the city of Gaza. While Netanyahu has decided to kill them, it is out of the question for us to care about their lives. The operation in the city of Gaza means that you will not see the dead or alive of the hostages, and all of their fate will be like Ron Arad (the pilot who went missing during an Israeli operation in Lebanon in 1986).

"GAZA WILL BE A GRAVE FOR YOUR SOLDIERS"

We tell your military and political leaders this: Gaza will not be an easy target for your army. We are not afraid of you, and we are ready to send your soldiers to hell. For you, we have prepared an army of mujahideen, thousands of ambushes, and bombs. Gaza will be a grave for your soldiers.

You are entering a tough war of attrition that will cause you additional casualties. We have trained our mujahideen to place explosive devices in the cabins of your vehicles. Your bulldozers will be our primary target, and the number of hostages in our hands will increase."

WHAT HAPPENED?

The Israeli Security Cabinet approved a plan to invade the city of Gaza in the north of the region on August 8. Israeli Defense Minister Katz threatened on September 15 that they would destroy the city of Gaza, where they had resumed ground attacks.
