In the Mustafakemalpaşa district of Bursa, one person lost their life and three others were rescued by their own means after a boat capsized at Yalıntaş Pond, where four friends had gone out.
Four friends set out on a motorboat for a trip at Yalıntaş Pond in the Mustafakemalpaşa district of Bursa. The boat capsized for an unknown reason, and all four friends fell into the water.
Of the four people who fell into the water, S.C., A.O., and V.K. managed to swim to shore. Abdülkerim Şahin (35), who was identified as the owner of the boat, tried to hold onto the boat but was submerged along with it. Upon receiving reports from witnesses, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area.
THE BODY OF THE MISSING PERSON WAS FOUND
While the rescued friend was taken to the police station for statements after a health check, a search operation was initiated for the missing Şahin. The sea police from the Mudanya district also supported the search and rescue efforts. As a result of the searches, Şahin's lifeless body was found around 11:30 PM. Şahin's body was taken to the morgue of Mustafakemalpaşa State Hospital.
AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED
It was learned that Şahin, who was single and engaged in the buying and selling of cars, occasionally went out on the boat he brought from his hometown in the Black Sea region to Yalıntaş Pond. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
