While the crowd was helping the injured woman and waiting for the ambulance, a vehicle with the license plate 54 UC 102, driven by M.G., crashed into the crowd and ran over the woman lying on the ground. The woman, who was seriously injured due to the impact of two consecutive vehicles, was taken to Sakarya Training and Research Hospital by ambulance after the first intervention of the medical teams that arrived at the scene. Karagöz, who was taken to intensive care, is still fighting for her life.

Embiye Karagöz's grieving daughter, Emel Karagöz Başarış, stated, "The accident occurred on Thursday morning at the fuel station area on the new stadium road. While my mother was trying to cross the road at the pedestrian crossing, a speeding vehicle hit her. Citizens nearby who witnessed the accident rushed to help and pulled my mother to the side of the road. However, another vehicle, instead of going in the right lane, crashed into that group at high speed and ran over my mother. There is no safety for people even when crossing at a pedestrian crossing. I can't watch the footage properly because my mother is in intensive care. We don't know what will happen. I hope such an incident doesn't happen to others. The second driver is missing, the first driver was with us yesterday. He said, 'The sun was in my eyes, I didn't see.' The other person is also missing. I hope the police are doing what is necessary; we haven't even been able to give our statements due to my mother's pain. They are keeping my mother sedated in intensive care; she has internal bleeding. Right now, the process is uncertain; we hope she will be okay. My mother used to go to the mosque for Quran classes every day from 9 AM to 12 PM. She had taken her ablution and was on her way to the mosque with her Quran when this happened to her." she expressed.
