Following the temporary ceasefire established between the US and Iran, which also includes Israel, global markets have shown a positive trend, while domestic markets are also experiencing a buying trend led by sharp increases in banking stocks.
US President Donald Trump, just hours before the deadline he set for Iran, announced regarding the talks mediated by Pakistan, stating that the negotiations between the two countries, led by Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, yielded positive results.
Trump conveyed that he accepted Pakistan's proposal to halt possible attacks tonight and to open the Strait of Hormuz, stating, "I agree to suspend bombings and attacks on Iran for a two-week period. This will be a bilateral ceasefire."
Claiming that he has already achieved his military objectives in Iran and stating that they are close to an agreement on a "long-term" peace with Iran, Trump assessed, "We received a 10-point proposal from Iran, and we believe this is a viable basis for negotiation."
Meanwhile, with these developments, Turkey's 5-year credit risk premium (CDS) fell by 17 basis points to 268 basis points.
