The Church of Entoms in Mexico is being led by a priest who claims to have "permission from God" and is selling properties in heaven for $100 per square meter.
The images of this offer have been widely shared on social media, along with a brochure that includes a detailed illustration showing a sacred house among the clouds. The illustration features a family climbing up a golden staircase to their new heavenly homes. The brochure states that the church accepts various payment methods such as PayPal, Google Pay, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, and offers flexible payment plans.
MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF PROPERTY SOLD FROM HEAVEN
A real estate influencer on TikTok claimed that a significant portion of these heavenly plots has already been sold for millions of dollars, calling it the "biggest real estate deal in the world."
However, attempts by religious leaders to sell heavenly properties are not new. In 2018, a Zimbabwean priest was arrested for selling "tickets to heaven" to his congregation for $533. Similarly, last year, a Ugandan priest convinced many of his followers to sell their properties, land, and animals to finance their heavenly homes.
Despite these initiatives, many critics argue that entering heaven is free and warn against these scams. The trend of selling properties in heaven raises serious questions about the exploitation of faith for financial gain.
